 24 May 2008 - Powerscourt, Glendalough

Powerscourt is one of Europe's great treasures and Ireland's most famous House & Gardens. Gracing the Wicklow mountains, 20km from Dublin city centre, Powerscourt is a heritage property with a surprising difference.

Glendalough gets its name from the Irish language. Gleann dá locha literally means the 'Glen of the two lakes'. Situated right in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glendalough is one of the most visited locations in Ireland, with over 1 million visitors a year.
